    • I read many reviews on these gaps covers--mostly good but a few bad reviews. My verdict? They work great! I initially bought the silicone flap ones--they work great insofar as covering the gap but they're as ugly as sin--like huge black bandages along both sides of our nice new stove. These expandable metal ones are perfect: no trimming need, slick and sleek looking. The trick is to pull the wings apart quite far, that way they wedge in tightly and won't shift when you wipe the range. I think the poor reviews came from people who didn't expand the wings enough. And true that this is just an "L" shape bar and not "T" shape, so there will still be a minor seam. But I'm fine with that.
