I bought this when I ran out of my other kind. I don't even remember why I chose this particular kind. Then today I needed to use it and really looked at it. I felt like I had made a mistake because the grabby piece and the brush piece are way too big for my drains. So I grabbed the orange piece and put it down my drain and pulled it up and voila! A lot of gunk came out. It actually worked really well.

Pincer worked great for retrieval!
Love the pinchers! The orange doodad didn't work very well. However, I have used other variations to remove hair in the past and they work wonders. I had to depress the spring to get the pincers to move down through the pipe and then I let go and saw water bubble up, and I kept pulling it out of the drain and up became the two little rubber balls. My granddaughter dropped down the sink (because she was trying to rinse them off). I then used the white bristled pipe brush to scrub the pipe to prevent drain flies.

What an amazing little package that has everything you need to clean or snake your drain. My mom had a problem and I told her I could help so I ordered this little kit and it is extremely easy to use. The length is perfect even for showers and it has the snake part where you can grab hair or toy. If you happen to see one, this piece is also very flexible which helped a lot. The orange things that grabbed the hair work very nice.

Saved Me A Couple Of Hundies
This package is great! I used the orange, plastic, spiked snakes to clean out my 97-year-old Dad's bathroom sink. It wouldn't drain, and he wore out a plunger trying to clear the drain. (Semi-pro tip: If your sink is vented, you have to plug the vent hole before plunging, or it won't do any good.) I also used the metal "claw" snake on the sink drain. Both the metal and the plastic snakes easily cleaned the drain. Be careful with the plastic snakes. They are sturdy, but if they get hung up on metal in the drain and you pull too hard without trying to work it loose, they might break.
